Cafe Blanc

From the interior design, oriental mood, graphics.. all the way to the delicious Lebanese cuisine,
This place is a total inspiration!
Cafe Blanc in Festival City Mall is a lovely place to dine in.
A division of Blends food development, a company which i totally adore for its attention to details.

Friday September 19,2008 was my first visit to it along with my school friends; Sara, Amal, Fatma and Sharoofa. Pay a special attention to the upcoming sentence "we were NOT hungry" However it seemed like we ordered half the menu.. and ate it!! it didnt seem like the law of colors worked in this restaurant, since its said that the blue color decreases the appetite, or probably nothing worked with us at the moment!
Note- just dont make the mistake of ordering Laban, especially if your used to Laban up♥!

Now back to the interiors and overall design..

With its turquoise and beige colors, Cafe Blanc is a perfect blend between the traditional and contemporary style. The seating is also arranged in comfortable way, despite the small space they are given. Also, From an outside view it is neither totally closed nor open. SMART ey?

The gorgeous details go all the way to the ceiling..

The Menu and the graphics on it..

the packaging..

and most importantly .. The mouth watering Lebanese Food!

and remember .. food is always more delicious with the people you love!

i  Jeremiah Goodman

Born in less exalted circumstances, Goodman is the son of a butcher in Niagara Falls, New York, who enjoyed encouraging his five children to converse about culture over dinner. When young Jeremiah hurt his hand, his parents gave him a box of crayons to help him pass the time. And he was off, first to art school in Buffalo, then to New York's Parsons School of Design.

From roughly 1952 to 1967, he was the cover illustrator of Interior Design Magazine.
One of his favorite covers is from December 1967: an abstract, lime-green evocation of holiday spirit that shows a branch hung with gargantuan glass ornaments, lording it over a plaid armchair. Doing those covers was a "fantastic experience," he remembers. "It always is, you know, when people put their faith in you." In 1987, he was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame.

"Basically, I did everything I could to turn a buck," he says, sitting in his mirrored living room, his own canvases propped in a corner for ready reference. "My boss at Lord & Taylor once told me there wasn't anything you can't do. That was the best advice anyone ever gave me." And he laughs at the memory—because the guy was talking specifically about painting a few polar bears on an ice floe.
